Beringer Family Farms
This week on the blog is Lillie Beringer with Bering Family Farms.
If you don’t follow her on Instagram, get over and follow her! She always has great stories about everyday life as a farmer and farmHer!
A little about Lillie:
Lillie is a 25 year old, 3rd generation FarmHer in Cascade, IA raising high quality, locally grown, 21 day dry aged Angus beef. She raises the cows, farms the land, and continues to work a full time job! I’m not sure how this girl does it all, but she’s out there in all the weather taking care of the cows and working the land.
One of my favorite things about Lillie is that she is carrying on her family’s legacy that her grandpa started in the 1950’s!
Lillie is an inspiration for many females young and old working on farms or on their businesses. She doesn’t let the fear of being different stand in the way of doing what she loves and what God has called her to do!
A fun fact that I love about Lillie’s logo:
The tree in the logo is a tree that is on her farm! The logo and the tree is used to incorporate a verse from the Bible! During our session, she let me know that the tree in her logo represents and has the words written in it from the book of John Chapter 15. John 15:5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
Prepping for Lillie’s Session:
Lillie had some great visions of what she wanted for her branding session! She knew what she wanted and we figured out ways to execute it! When she first asked me to take her pictures, I was ecstatic and immediately had ideas rolling in my head! We combined our ideas and had one of the greatest photo shoots ever! One of the things she wanted was to have a kitchen with a freezer to be able to pull the meat from, me… I wanted pictures of the food cooking! Maybe I just wanted some of her delicious beef to try for myself!
The day of Lillie’s shoot:
The day of Lillie’s shoot was an exceptionally interesting day! It was a very very warm day in December in Iowa! It was December 15th and we had near 70 degrees that day! Typical weather is around 30 degrees. We had tornado warnings that afternoon and school was let out early because the wind was so wicked it could have toppled the busses!
Her session was held at an Airbnb in downtown Dyersville, IA, owned and operated by Jennifer Recker.
The downtown apartment was the perfect location for pictures! We had a full kitchen that was beautifully designed to capture what Lillie was visioning! We managed to make a giant mess with action shots, packing boxes, sprinkling salt, and frying up some delicious steak to photograph and enjoy!
Here are some of the incredible images from the day of her shoot!
